Hello and welcome to Lingual Net’s Super Learner Fluency Course.

How is your English?  It’s probably very good!

You’ve been studying English for a long time, and you know a lot! But do you want to speak English more fluently?

Maybe you want to improve your score on an interview test?  Or you want to be more confident in everyday conversations?

Or maybe you just want to feel like a real English speaker?

This course will definitely help you!  Lingual Net’s Super Learner Fluency Course is designed to help you become a more fluent, more confident, and more engaged speaker of English.

It doesn’t matter what your level of English proficiency (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, or C2)  is: this course will boost your level!

I’m Dr. Michael Rost. I’m  a linguist and a language teacher, and a researcher. Over the course of my career I’ve had the opportunity to observe many different learners, in many different countries.

I’ve identified the most successful learners – what I call “the super learners”!

What is it that super learners do?

I’ve been able to identify some of their “secrets.”  Not exactly secrets, but strategies and study habits and memory “tricks” that successful language learners use. And I’d like to share those “secrets”, so that you too can become a Super Learner.

In each module, we focus on one topic.  The topic of this module is family. We focus on five questions:

  1. Is family important in your country?
  2. What are some activities that you like to do together as a family?
  3. Do you get along well with your family?
  4. How do you think the family will change in the future?
  5. Who do you think should be responsible for care of the elderly, the family or the government?

We will listen to three different interviews, where the students are asked these same five questions.  If you listen carefully to the interviews, you can learn a lot.

We’re going to focus on how they think and speak in the interviews.  We’ll identify their communication strategies.

And then we’re going to follow up with some study skills in pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary.

OK, ready?

Welcome to the course.
