I was pleased to learn that Many Things.org has become a popular game site for English language learners. This site was developed by the Kelly Brothers, two long-time residents of Japan who have worked at integrating technology into their teaching over many years. From what I can gather, they also publish an English textbook called “Many Things” and use their website to support students using the book.
That’s an important aspect of using technology – integration of types of learning. Ideally, a learner (of language or piano or cooking or…) would have multiple “channels” for learning, and find ways of integrating the learning in each channel. Indeed, developing neural cross-connections is the basis of sustained learning. So applause for Many Things. Please try some of the activities!
